The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate is an approved wedding venue for the solemnization of Civil Weddings and Partnerships. We are delighted to offer the following, as guidance only, for couples who are looking for a stylish alternative to the traditional church ceremony or registry office, or simply because it works so well to have everything under one roof from start to finish!
Civil Ceremonies
Your ceremony can take place either outside in our wedding pavilion with guests seated on the lawn surrounding you or indoors. If you prefer an indoor ceremony we have a selection of rooms for you to use from the Garden Suite for up to 300 guests, to our Rose Room for up to 50 guests.
Couples wishing to marry at The Old Swan Hall in Harrogate, North Yorkshire must contact the Superintendent Registrar themselves after making the reservation with us, to book the Registrar to perform the ceremony at The Old Swan.

Garden Weddings
At The Old Swan we can offer one of the only outdoor wedding venues in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Our beautiful Wedding Pavilion in which to make your commitment to each other, surrounded by family and friends.
Set in the hotel’s private gardens, the Pavilion will accommodate you both, your witnesses, and the Registrar with guests able to watch your marriage ceremony seated on sashed chairs on the lawn. Then your wedding party can make its way back to your reception and wedding breakfast in one of our reception rooms.
