There are a variety of rooms available: our Four Poster for special occasions, the Mini Suite for those who prefer to have a little extra space, or one of our Family rooms, which accommodate families of up to four.

For those staying in the area on business, double rooms are available for single occupancy to make your stay as spacious as possible, and business facilities are available in the hotel.

Each of the bedrooms here at the Roundthorn Country House has its own unique and varied character and all are furnished to the highest standard. En-suite bathrooms, telephones, Internet connection and hospitality trays are standard in every room, and many have spectacular outlooks over the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells.

Luxury Apartments – The Mews

We are delighted to announce the recent addition of our Luxury Self Catering apartments ‘The Mews @ Roundthorn’, set in our beautifully landscaped grounds. With the dramatic landscape of the Lake District on the doorstep, whether it be for a Summer walking break, a romantic getaway or to cosy up in the Winter months, The Mews @ Roundthorn is an idyllic holiday destination all year round.

Furnished to an exceptionally high standard, The Mews @ Roundthorn provide you with the flexibility of being self-sufficient and able to relax in your own surroundings, whilst still being able to enjoy the impeccable service and luxury of the hotel’s facilities.

Breakfasts and evening meals can be booked in the hotel, or for a special treat you could induldge in a delicious afternoon tea on the terrace.

Each spacious apartment includes a fully fitted kitchen and comfortable dining and living areas with 50” wall mounted smart televisions. Luxurious Superking beds are standard, whilst the second bedroom of the two bed apartments can be made up as a twin. Each individual bedroom has its own en suite; either a bath over shower or wet room. To the rear of the apartments is a decked area to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Housekeeping services can be arranged and storage for bikes is available in the hotel. One of the mews apartments also has wider doorways and a spacious wet room, ideal for those with mobility difficulties
