Get your walking boots at the ready, take a breakfast to go and get an early start. There are so many trails to explore 1926 miles to be exact. You can walk and cycle around our countryside to your heart’s content.
A personal favourite of ours is the walk to the peak of Gummers How, the beautiful fell you’ll have awoken to across the lake. Just a short 5 minute drive around the southern shore of the Lake and you will be ready to start your walk, the walk is approximately 1.5 miles and the views are simply breathtaking….don’t forget to take a snap of the hotel and tag us in it!
Time for a spot of lunch? A short drive from Gummers How is the small pub, The Masons Arms, we’d recommend grabbing a bite to eat to refuel before making your way back to us for a relaxing evening watching the world go by.
Start the day right with a full breakfast here at the hotel, before you go on the adventure of a lifetime…
We suggest, for those wanting to really get out there on an adventure to visit Honister Pass. Here you can see the Honister mines first hand by taking a underground tour or try out Via Ferrata (be warned not for the faint hearted!) this is an adventure following the original Miners route to the top of the Mountain. You will follow the historic miners path high onto Fleetwith Pike in a thrilling stunning and safe outdoors activity. It’s an adrenaline rush with an essence of natural beauty. Not just for climbers and walkers but young families looking to create lifelong memories.
After all this you’ll be ready to relax and refuel and what better way to do so than in our Lakeview pool, let the jacuzzi bubbles loosen up those muscles, before dining on something delectable. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a dessert, it will be well earned after your day out!
Family time, is there anything better? We certainly don’t think so and it’s safe to say the options are endless no matter age or ability in the Lakes.
Of course as with any other day, you start with the best breakfast around here at the hotel. Time to feed the ducks? Ask one of our wonderful team for some duck food so they are set up for the day like you are.
