Heavy snowfall has seen the Midwinter Hotel cut off from the world. Guests are stranded and tempers are fraying. The Christmas spirit is fading fast and the arrival of two strangers who have managed to get to the hotel on foot is about to make things worse. There is murder afoot at the Midwinter Hotel.
