Our 300 year old coaching inn hosts festive events throughout December and retains an elegant charm with traditional decorations adorning the hotel, wreaths swathed on the fireplace and exquisitely decorated trees dotted throughout the hotel.

Our Christmas Break Offer
Christmas Eve
Arrive from 2.00pm onwards and settle into your room. We will be serving a cream tea and mulled wine in our lounges to be taken at your leisure between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
Take the opportunity to explore the historic market town of Alnwick.
The team will officially welcome you at a drinks reception, followed by dinner in the Olympic Suite which features the original wood panelling from the sister ship to the Titanic, RMS Olympic.
There are Midnight services in many local churches, and we will be on hand to warm you up on your return with your favourite tipple and mince pies
Christmas Day
Wake up on Christmas morning to a hearty breakfast and a celebratory glass of Bucks Fizz.
Santa will be back at lunchtime after he has delivered a present outside your door during the night! We’ll be serving Christmas Day Lunch between 12.00pm and 2.30pm, followed of course by the King’s Speech at 3.00pm. There will be Christmas cake and Northumberland Cheeses served during the afternoon in our lounge along with board games to entertain the family.
Christmas Day evening is a very informal affair with a light supper served in Hardy’s Bistro, followed by a prize Bingo.
Boxing Day
Join fellow guests for our Boxing Day breakfast in the Olympic Suite, before heading out to explore the magnificent Northumbrian coastline and scenery.
Enjoy a bracing walk on one of Northumberland’s stunning beaches overlooked by the castles of Bamburgh or Warkworth. Visit the quaint fishing village of Craster, famous for its kippers, or Seahouses just a few miles along the coast. You could also keep warm in Barter Books and while away the hours over a book in front of a roaring fire.
A farewell banquet will be served in the Olympic Suite accompanied by our resident pianist. Afterwards a Festive ‘Pub Quiz’ in our Hardys Bistro

Fond farewells and good-byes in the morning, but not before a full breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.
Our Christmas packages are from £455 per person based on two people sharing a Classic twin or double bedroom for a three-night stay, including all meals as above, service and VAT. Ask us about our upgrades packages.
