The Team at Grinkle Park

Richard Ibbott – General Manager
Richard joined the hotel in July 2008. He’s very guest-focused and actively encourages his team to interact with guests where possible to achieve a warm, friendly feel within the hotel. Richards passion in life is his collection of four-legged friends, five terriers, one boxer and two working Springer spaniels – no surprise, he likes his shooting too. Outside of work (and even sometimes in work) Richard can be found in his moleskin trousers, checked shirts and his favourite flat cap. He does leave his wellies outside the front door though.

Andrew Peggs – Head Chef
Andrew`s passion in life is cooking – a fact which shines through in his menus at Grinkle - closely followed by his Lamberetta scooters. Andrew simply loves cooking. What more can be said. Oh yes the Lamberattas. …

Alison Chilton- Shoot Coordinator
Alison works part-time at the hotel, doing all the administrative accounts associated with the running of the hotel. She also coordinates all the shoot business for the hotel leading up to and during the shooting season. Alison has a wealth of knowledge associated to the hotel and is a mine of useful information.

Norma Willis – Head Housekeeper
Norma has been at Grinkle Park for several years and makes sure that everything is perfect for our guests. Luckily for us, she loves baking and the whole team regularly enjoy the treats that emerge for Norma’s kitchen. Particular favourites are the fairy cakes, chocolate fudge brownies and at  Christmas the mince pies are an absolute favourite.

Chris Meehan  - Food and Beverage Manager              
Chris joined us in June 2010 to further strengthen the team with a key focus on guest service. Chris can be described as a true hotelier through and through with his passion being guest hospitality and service. He'll go beyond the call of duty when it comes to looking after the people who stay with us. Chris is a huge Huddersfield Town supporter and as well as his football, he enjoys swimming. healso plays the piano to an exceptionally good standard – not that he would admit it!

Johnathon Cairns - Operations Manager
Johnathon joined the management team at Grinkle early in 2011 and dedicates a lot of his time to managing the ever-increasing number of weddings at the hotel as well the operational aspects of the hotel. He has a passion for people and service delivery and regards this aspect of the business as paramount. When not at work, Johnathon plays football as often as he can. We are led to believe he needs to practice his game a lot more. Johnathon also regards himself as a bit of farmer and is planning to rear his own hens – watch this space.
