Our Team

The Team at Charingworth Manor

Michael Eastick  - General Manager
Michael joined Charingworth Manor in October 2007, from the Falcon Hotel in Castle Ashby. He has a strong background in hotel management with over twenty years experience, and prefers the country house hotel atmosphere. Michael oversees all our weddings personally and reckons he has managed over 1000 in his time, so he knows how important your wedding day is. You will always find him around the hotel, he loves meeting guests and is happy to help with anything you need. He is married to Jennifer, has two sons and lives in Upper Slaughter.

Jeff Mackins - Reception Manager
Jeff lives in Evesham, is married to Sarah and has two boys.  He leads a team of three reception staff -  Renata is the Senior Receptionist and is ably assisted by Chantelle and Angela. Prior to joining Charingworth in the summer of 2009, Jeff was food and beverage manager at the Lygon Arms in Broadway for eight years. Talk to Jeff about your requirements whatever they are.

Alison Rae - Accounts /Admin
A vital part of the Charingworth team!  Alison has worked at Charingworth for three years and is responsible for wages, accounts and admin and all the things Michael does not like doing. Alison plays an important central support role within the team of 30staff at Charingworth, she is married to David and lives near Evesham.

Thia Stevens - Leisure Club Manager and Head Housekeeper
Thia has worked at Charingworth for ten years and is responsible for all leisure activities including the indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym and tennis court. She is ably assisted by Adel on her days off.  Thia is also responsible for the team of five housekeepers in servicing the 26 bedrooms and public areas.

Chris Lellott - Head Chef
Chris joined the team in August 2011 having worked as Michel Roux’s personal chef for 10 years at the Michelin starred Waterside Inn in Bray.  Chris has a wealth of experience in fine dining restaurants throughout Europe having also worked in the Lygon Arms in Broadway, Gravetye Manor, Chewton Glen Hotel, and the two-starred Michelin L’Abbayee , St Michel in France.

Renata Cervinkova - Senior Receptionist
Renata joined us in October 2009 working with Jeff Mackins, our Reception Manager, Chantelle and Angela, our receptionists, assisting the team with reservations, arrivals and departures of our guests.  Renata is from the Czech Republic but now lives with her partner in Chipping Campden . She has a couple of horses which she enjoys riding and hunting in her leisure time.

Tamas Volosinyocczki - Head Barman and Krisztina Dulovics - Breakfast Supervisor
Tamas and his partner Krisztina joined Charingworth in November 2010. Both are from Hungary and have worked on cruise ships including two years on the Queen Mary 2 prior to joining us here at Charingworth Manor.

Jonathan Payne - Maintenance Co-ordinator
Jonathan worked at Warwick University before joining the team here in February 2011.  He is responsible for the maintenance of this lovely  700 year old building including all 26 bedrooms, indoor pool and leisure facilities.  John is never short of something to keep him busy!  He has an abundance of experience and can turn his hand to anything  and is a very conscientious member of staff.  Jonathan lives locally with his wife and son. 

Paul Loosley - Gardener

Paul joined us in June 2010 as our full time gardener. He has to look after the 15 acres of grass and tend numerous flowers beds around the hotel, together with caring for the hotel grounds of 55 acres complete with woodlands, pond and pasture rented out to the local farm for his flock of 200 sheep and lambs.  Paul lives near Stratford-upon-Avon with his wife and children.

Jack - Le Chien d’Hotel
Jack is the resident  8-year-old German Pointer who likes to chase the two hotel cats but has not been quick enough to catch them yet !
